WE LOVE TAYLOR'S
RETRO STYLE
Taylor Swift is already looking ahead to fall fashion, but we can't get over her fabulous summer looks.
Thousands of girls copy everything that Taylor Swift does — and wears — but the "Red" singer reveals that she doesn't really pay that much attention to the ins and outs of fashion.
Talking to fashion editor Zanna Roberts Rassi in the "Keds Presents Taylor Swift" clip above, Swift says of her fashion knowledge, "Not to the point where I have an impressive vocabulary about it. You know how some people have a fashion vocabulary where they're like, 'Oh my God, those lines in that new — I died, I died!'"Swift adds, "I love following fashion, but sometimes when the trend is everyone is dressing like a motorcycle driver or they're wearing a scuba suit and it doesn't really apply to my life, I take what applies to my life."
Jokes aside, the blond singer adds that there's one thing she's looking forward to wearing in the fall.
"I like a good velvet shoe. That's something I like," she reveals. "I would love to be able to incorporate that into what I wear."
She also loves wearing black in the winter, but for fall it's all about the neutrals.
"But for fall I really stick to like the neutral tones, like browns and just kind of the darker colors but not full-on, not full-on like winter black."
Taylor Swift's summer style
We're excited to see what she pulls out fashion-wise this fall, but we love, love, love her summer wear. Swift really embraced the retro, high-waisted look this summer with her bikinis and concert costumes.
But she also went modern for her red-carpet wear, like when she opted for a Herve Leger bandage dress for the 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards in June. She went for more casual glam for the Capital FM Summertime Ball with black shorts and a pink peasant top.
Basically, we love summertime Swift — and we also can't wait to see which of her outfits we'll covet this fall!
